Living Buddha of Sweet Dew is definitely an improper name, because
Living Buddha is an improper name of Tulku. However, I can’t find his deed in
English, so I have to translate his name literally from Chinese. In my opinion,
there should be a page in history about him, because he was not only a religious
leader of Tibetan Buddhism, but also the ruler of Mongolia since Tibetan
Buddhism became the national religion of Mongolia. We know that Tibetan Tulkus
have reincarnation system, the first generation of Sweet Dew was an Indian, the one I am talking about was the 17th Living Buddha of Sweet Dew.
Sweet Dew the 17th indeed had an unusual life code: he
had a yielding structure. Because (8) is Wood tomb and can be merged by (4) to
Wood, all the codes he had were Water-Wood, expect the rootless Metal 8. And
the weak Metal can be converted to support Wood (Metal grows Water, and Water
grows Wood). Because the strength of the life codes was all united, he had to
yield to Wood which was Talent. In another word, the stronger of Wood the
better, so Water-Wood must serve as favor. Although he had a discordant Metal
in his life code, it was weak and convertible. Unless Metal acquired strong
root such as (2) and (10) merge, it wouldn’t be a big problem. The real great
foes were Fire-Earth, because they would weaken Wood no matter what.
Generally, the early fortunes of Sweet Dew 17th were 9(9)
and 10(10) which were Metal-Water, not too bad. Then he had 1(11) which was
mainly an Earth fortune, that was a low in his life. After that, 2(12) and 3(1)
were rich in Water-Wood, it was a high period. Then 4(2) fortune was Fire on
Earth, another low. His life track is generally a High-Low-High-Low.
Let’s go to details. 1916 was a 3(5) year. 3 merged the main foe 8
to Water, (5) is Water tomb. Foe being merged to favor indicates good thing: in
this year, he was confirmed by gSer khog to be the reincarnation of Sweet Dew
16th.
Since 1922, Sweet Dew entered 9(9) fortune. The fortune is Water
on Metal, although power was directed to Water, (9) is a root for Metal after
all. So it was a medium fortune. 1924 was a 1(1) year, not only it was Wood on
Water, (1) also merged (9) to Water. Again, foe being merged to favor indicates
good thing: in this year, he went to Beijing to meet Bainqen Lama and Cao Kun,
the President of the Republic of China. His leadership over Mongolia was well recognized.
1927 was a 4(4) year, 4 merged 9 to Wood, and (4) merged (8) to
Wood. Another good year, Sweet Dew went to Beijing for the second time, he met Zhang
Zuolin, the controller of China's internationally recognized government.
1937 was a 4(2) year. The year was Fire on Earth, and (2) merged
the fortune (10) to Metal. The weak foe Metal became strong enough to counter
the structure, Sweet Dew entered the first low in his life: Mongolia was
invaded by Japan, he lost his land and became exile.
The next fortune 1(11) was a foe fortune. Mongolia was suffered by
Japanese invasion and the civil war of China. Sweet Dew was not able to go
back, nor could he focus on preaching. 1949 was a 6(2) year, 6(2) was Earth on
Earth as foe. In that year, the atheist communism controlled China, Sweet Dew voluntarily
retreated to Taiwan with the KMT.
As I analyzed, his good fortunes were back since 1952: in that
year, Chen Cheng invited Sweet Dew to propagate Buddhist teachings. It was
a success. After the event, Buddhism became more and more popular in Taiwan,
and Sweet Dew was elected as the Chairman of Buddhist Association of the
Republic of China. (There is a Buddhist Association of China in mainland, they are not the same.)
3(1) was another good fortune. Sweet Dew was elected again, but he
resigned for too much business effected his training. Before 1965 the years
were all Water-Wood: 9(3), 10(4) and 1(5), Sweet Dew had multiple successful propagate
and diplomatic meetings in Hong Kong, Philippine, USA and Canada. After 1965,
the years were Fire-Earth, Sweet Dew closed himself for training.
After 1972, the fortune turned to 4(2). 4(2) were Fire on Earth as
foe. If you remember, Sweet Dew’s first low was started in a 4(2) year. So he
died in this fortune. The actual year was 1978, 1978 was 5(7), and 5(7) is
Earth on Fire. Both fortune and year were Fire-Earth, caused his death.
According to some, Sweet Dew the 17th was reincarnated
to USA. He came back to Taiwan once, talked to some of his previous life students and went back to USA.
