Igor Stravinsky had Water and Fire only,
and Fire was clearly stronger, so Metal-Water served as favor. Overall, from (9)
to (2) is the Metal-Water semicircle. He had all the Metal-Water fortunes for majority
of his life, that’ why he had great achievement. Although he was in great
fortune in general, the change of fortune still marks his life path: His debut
was 1909, because (10) is the peak of Metal. He changed his style in 1919, because
his fortune changed, etc…
With strong Fire and weak Water, Wood
served as foe. Not only because Wood supports Fire, but also for Wood transfers
power from Water to Fire, that Water generate Wood and Wood generate Fire. He died
in the (4) fortune, (4) is Wood at the peak stage. Furthermore, the year he
died was 1971. It was a (12) year. It was the year that Wood was at the
strongest in the (4) fortune. Because (12) supported and merged (4) to Wood as foe.
I can see Stravinsky was special: he
had nothing else but the collision between Water and Fire. Maybe you know this,
the word “thing” in Chinese is “东西”. Literally, it means East and West. Odd? Well it because East
and West are represented by Wood and Metal, so it means anything that takes
forms. In comparison, Fire and Water can represents things that don’t have physical
forms. People who have strong Fire or Water are usually clever, in a way, because
there are many ways. Because Fire or Water represents metaphysics, they represent
beauty (Fire) or mystery (Water), things those are not physical.
On the other hand, clash of
elements is the clash of mind. With nothing else but the collision between Water
and Fire, this must be an extraordinary mind. Intense crush of mind is not always a good thing, but there's no right and wrong in the realm of art, it doesn't matter to be extreme.
