Joseph Lau was one of the richest person in Hong Kong. His Authority is the strongest force in his life code, and Talent (Wood) that can control Authority is also strong. In another word, he has Wood as favor.

Lau succeed family business which is a ceiling fan factory. So he was originally a little bit richer than normal people, most of his vast wealth is made in the investment market. Lau became filthy rich in the 80s and 90s. In 1985, he had a disagreement with business partner and sold his shares to a fund, then the business had a sharp drop in the share price for overstocking. Lau bought the shares back from the stock market and re-controlled the business. He sold his share with $2 per share and bought back with $0.7 per share.
