The fortune of Xuanzang / What does Journey to the West mean?

Xuanzang was a historical Buddhist Monk who’s famous for his seventeen-year overland journey to India. All we know about Xuanzang was: he was born in the first month of 600 (there are two different records, 600 and 602, Wikipedia takes the wrong one) and died 664. In fact, we can retro deduct his birth time, if you understand the meaning of the novel, Journey to the West.

Xuanzang was born Feb 16, 600

Xuanzang was a rare person who has all four horses, (3)(6)(9)(12). Horse represents move, so he travelled to India by foot. Journey to the West is a Chinese novel based on his deed. It is a bizarre story about a monk travel to India along with a monkey, a pig and a sand monster. What is the deep meaning? Well, we know the zodiac codes are corresponding with the Chinese Zodiac signs: Rat=(1) Ox=(2) Tiger=(3) Rabbit=(4) Dragon=(5) Snake=(6) Horse=(7) Sheep=(8) Monkey=(9) Rooster=(10) Dog=(11) Pig=(12)

In the book, the first character is the Monkey King, Sun Wukong (you know Gouku? He is based on the Monkey). Because the first column of Xuanzhang was (9), Monkey=(9). In the book, the Monkey is sometimes referred as Mr. Metal. The Monkey was born in a rock, because Earth generates Metal. The Monkey is tough and strong, because the quality of Metal is tough and 7(9) was Metal sitting on Metal in a column, so Metal is strong.

The second character is the Tang Sanzang, the monk. He is the leader of the team because the zodiac month code is the commander code. Tiger=(3) so he is transferred into tiger multiple times. (3) also represents human, because a religious classic book stated: the sky started at (1), the earth formed at (2), and human born at (3). It’s Mumbo Jumbo, but also a reference. (3) is Wood that represents benevolence, so Tang Sanzang is a kind-hearted monk. Tang Sanzang doesn’t like Sun Wukong because (3) would crush (9).

In the third column there is the third character in the book: Zhu Bajie (the Pig). Why Pig? (12)=pig. In the book, the pig is sometimes referred as “mother of Wood”, what is the mother of Wood? Water generates Wood. (12) breaks with (9) but also being supported by (9), so the pig didn’t like the Monkey at first, but they becomes friends eventually. The Pig is lazy and not very strong because Water is not strong in the life code. Tang sanzang likes Zhu Bajie the most because (3) and (12) merge.

The forth code is (6) that represents the sand monster (Sha Wujing). He is like the lube and stabilizer in the team. Because (3) supports (6), (6) merges with (9) and 2 merges with 7. He has red hair because (6) is Fire.

In the novel, Tang Sanzang is riding a horse that is transferred by a dragon because when Xuanzang was travelling, he was in the (5) fortune, (5)=dragon.
