Crush is easy. Put (1) to (12) on your clock. Every code crushes the code that is opposite to it on a clock face. For example, (12) crushes (6), because (12) is on the top and (6) is in the bottom of your clock.
Merge. There are two types of merge.
(9)(1)(5) merge to Water, (12)(4)(8) merges to Wood, (3)(7)(11) merge to Fire, (6)(10)(2) merge to Metal. 3 codes merge is the start-peak-end of an element. You can remember it as: a code, the code + 4, and the code + 8 construct a 3 codes merge.
two codes merges: (1) merges (2); (3) merges (12); (4) merges (11); (5) merges (10), (6) merges (9), (7) merges (8). Think about the clock face, all the parietal connections of the connection between (1) and (2) merge to each other.
In another word, every code has one code to crush and three codes to merges.
