One of the ground of my political view

this is a part of what I wrote about regarding politics, if you are smart, you don't need to read the full text to pick up my point:

...Come down to this understanding. What if we have no order? What will happen? A: we will become better because no restriction. Less restriction lead to more prosperity. B: We will not be getting better, since most people will rob banks if they can get away with it. Which one is more likely? I choose B, which is why I believe the pursuit of liberty isn’t an endless pursuit.

Huang Chao was the leader rebellion at the end of the Tang dynasty. During the siege of Chen, Huang’s army made hundreds of huge stone pestles, crushed people in the pestles to mash for food. They killed thousands per day, and went to dozens of other provinces to seize human. Recorder claimed that about one million were eaten during the siege. That’s a good estimate. Because including kids, the average people’s weight was 30 kg. Solder eats half a kg per day. 200,000 solders will eat 3333 people. The siege was 300 days. In 300 days, 200,000 solders will consume exactly a million people.

You can never picture situations like that, can you? You think this is impossible nowadays. You think you are better than them. The truth is: It’s not about good and bad. When bad is an advantage, it doesn’t matter if you are not bad enough. You are not bad people, then bad people will eliminate and replace you. It is the bad way or the highway.

So why do I show you this gross example? I want to bring this question: what caused it? As far as I think, it is better to say the total loss of order caused that, than totalitarianism caused that. Although the total loss of order is caused by totalitarianism. Totalitarianism treats people bad, but not that bad. It wants to keep people alive, at least most people. Because people are resource.

This is my point: Freedom is not a linear standard that more freedom = better society. Because order is equally important. In fact, I value order more, because first, freedom is protected by order. I always value the root and ground more than the superstructure. Second, with extreme order, you can at least live. With extreme chaos, you will die.

Next question, why church? Because history proved it is the thing that works. In the east Europe, after all the years, the strongest force against communism is still church. Other things like reason, progression, wealth, knowledge, they are weak as hell. It didn’t take Bolsheviks a few years to tame all of them, but Bolsheviks could never eliminate the influence of church. And when communism breaks down, churches restored order in no time. Why not other form of order? Well, there were lots of experimental socialism and cult communities in US, they are all failed.
