basic knowledgeable 4: how to use characters and self code

Although we learned about 5% of fortune telling, you can make some predictions already: you can describe the life code owner by the nature of his self code + his characters.
Briefly, the nature of the 10 self code:

1: straightforward, ambitious, structured, women think like men
2: soft-hearted, gentle, shy, possessive
3: passionate, impatient, bright, polite, interest doesn’t last long
4: thoughtful, sacrificial, decent and modest on the outside, hot and hasty inside
5: sturdy, passive and stubborn, value honesty
6: conservative, patent, able to deal with complex situations, value honesty
7: tough, strict and principled
8: keen, emotional, always have two lists: someone I like, someone I don’t like
9: frank, casual, willful, broad minded
10: peaceful, delicate, considerate and mysterious, hard working behind the scenes, breakout after bearing to the limit

This list is not perfect, it needs to be explained, but it works.

Each of the 10 characters has two sides, good and bad. In my previous blog, I wrote about “favor” and ”foe”. Favor means it is good; foe means it is bad. So when a character serves as favor, it shows the good side, when it serves as foe, it shows the bad side.

Comrade as favor: self-respect, independent, competitive, persistent and determined,
Comrade as foe: unsocial, stubborn, lone
Pirate as favor: heroic, energetic, like to offer help; in fact, Pirate is pretty much like Comrade, the difference is Comrade is defensive and Pirate is offensive.
Pirate as foe: rude, arbitrary, reckless; warm on the outside and cold inside; make friends quick and lose friends quick
Owl as favor: shrewd, observant, intuitive, alert, good at thinking differently
Owl as foe: skeptical, procrastinate, indifference about other people
Guardian as favor: reasonable, forgiving, rational, conservative, scholar-mannered
Guardian as foe: native, dependent, face-saving
Gourmet as favor: peaceful, tolerant, optimistic and hospitable
Gourmet as foe: lack of endurance, talk too much, daydreamer
Rebel as favor: clever, innovational, ambitious, good ability of expression
Rebel as foe: look down upon others; don’t take orders; like to insult people
Gambler as favor: bold, generous, realistic, adventurous, skillful
Gambler as foe: cheeky, wasteful, indulging in alcohol, sex and gambling.
Collector as favor: diligent, thrifty, handy, believe in honest work
Collector as foe: material, tight-fisted, often lose the better chances for haggling over every penny
Slaughter as favor: resilient, disciplined, loyal, self-controlled, always have a sense of urgency, willing to achieve things by any means
Slaughter as foe: radical, hostile, merciless, vengeful, untamed, destructive and nervous
Judge as favor: law-abiding, responsible, righteous, moderate, willing to follow
Judge as foe: indecisive, lack of courage, disregard laws and disciplines

For the life owner, Guardian represents mother, Gambler represents father, Strength represents siblings, Authority represents husband, Money represents wife, Talent represents children, for man, Authority also represents children: Judge is daughter, Slaughter is son.

The relations between the 10 characters: Shield supports Strength, Strength supports Talent, Talent supports Money, Money supports Authority, and Authority supports Shield.

Money overcomes Shield, Shield overcomes Talent, Talent overcomes Authority, Authority overcomes Strength, and Strength overcomes Money.

The supporting and overcoming relations between characters are not new rules. They are inferences of the original five elements interactions: breaking characters down to elements, you will find the two sets of rules are the same thing. For example, someone’s life code is Wood, so Fire is his Talent and Metal is his Authority, we can say Talent overcome Authority as well as Fire overcomes Metal.
The 10 characters interaction is a basic rule with no reason, but it makes a lot of sense if we think about it:

Shield supports Strength: being conservative makes people ego;
Strength supports Talent: ego people like to show off;
Talent supports Money: dreamers are driven to do something to achieve their dreams;
Money supports Authority: the more you are involved into the world, the more you have to compromise yourself;
Authority supports Shield: people under pressure are prone to be conservative;
And,

Money overcomes Shield: people who do the actual work don’t have the vision and mindset to do theory study;
Shield overcomes Talent: logical thinking restrains people’s imagination;
Talent overcomes Authority: releasing is the thing against pressure;
Authority overcomes Strength: self-discipline people discipline themselves;

Strength overcomes Money: fighting and struggling alone wouldn’t make you a successful businessman;
